Knell (Unreal Engine 5) - 2025

Knell is a game demo environment created for my Digital Media Major Project final. The piece is designed as a demo game environment, with a focus on audio-visual fidelity utilising Unreal Engine

The work consists of an environment, animated 3rd person character and some quicktime-esque enemy events

Knell is predominantly an exploration of relationship between movement and environment, with the focal point of the demo being the character’s interaction with mud.

Original character modelled in Blender and Textured in SubstancePainter. Character utilises an adapted Manny 89 bones rig for integration into Unreal.
